What Should Your Indonesia Yacht Charter Quote Include?

Compare private yacht proposals with a clear view of nights, cabins, meals, activities and extras before choosing your Indonesian voyage.

A charter quote should explain the holiday you are buying, not just the yacht you are admiring. Before comparing totals, bring each proposal onto the same basis: the same dates, group, nights aboard and intended activities. Then ask for the inclusions and exclusions in writing. This guide is a planning checklist, not a statement that every yacht includes the same services.

Start with the boat, dates and cabin plan

Check that the proposal identifies the exact yacht, the departure and arrival ports, boarding and disembarkation times, and the number of nights aboard. A price described per day may need clarification when the first and last days are partial days. Ask what the total covers rather than multiplying an advertised headline rate yourself.

Cabin count alone does not describe how your group will sleep. Request the cabin allocation, bed arrangements and any extra-bed conditions. Explain children’s needs and any access requirements before selecting the vessel. Photographs help, but the written allocation is the useful booking reference.

Ask what everyday life aboard includes

Have meals, drinking water, soft drinks and alcoholic drinks listed separately. Explain dietary requirements early and ask what can be accommodated. A beautiful dining photograph is inspiration; it does not establish what is included in your proposal.

Confirm the scope of onboard facilities you expect to use. Air conditioning, internet access and equipment may differ by yacht and operating conditions. Ask about practical limitations rather than assuming that a feature mentioned on a listing is available without interruption throughout a remote voyage.

Komodo and Raja Ampat offer different settings for time at sea. A quotation should identify the agreed cruising region and arrangements for your chosen vessel.

Separate activities from equipment and access

For snorkelling or diving, ask which activities, equipment, guiding and additional services are included. Tell the team about swimming confidence and relevant experience so the proposed holiday fits the people aboard. An activity appearing in a destination guide is not automatically included in every charter.

Ask whether shore excursions, local guiding, entry charges and permits are included, excluded or payable separately. Request the current basis for any variable charge rather than relying on an old online price. Access, local arrangements and conditions can affect what is possible.

Compare the whole journey, not only the charter total

Keep flights, hotels before or after the voyage, airport transfers and boat transfers visible as separate items unless the quote expressly includes them. This avoids comparing a yacht-only figure with a more complete travel proposal. Confirm who arranges each transfer and where the handover happens.

Check whether fuel, repositioning or a requested change of cruising area could affect the proposal. For Komodo or Raja Ampat, first agree the region and the rhythm you want; ask the team to explain any limitations on the proposed route. Specific stops remain subject to the captain’s decisions, access and conditions.

Before paying, get the remaining terms in writing

Ask for the quote currency, validity period, payment schedule and applicable cancellation and change terms. Clarify how optional extras are approved and paid, and whether gratuities are discretionary or covered by a stated arrangement. Read the actual terms for your selected yacht rather than assuming another vessel uses the same policy.

An enquiry or a proposal is not a confirmed booking. Ask what secures the yacht, when confirmation is issued and which outstanding details still need agreement. Keep your final inclusions, cabin plan and agreed services together with the booking documents.

A simple brief makes the comparison more useful

Send Explore with LOV your preferred region, dates or flexibility, group size, cabin needs, interests and total budget range. Mention the elements that matter most: privacy, relaxed days aboard, time ashore or particular water activities. These details give the team a stronger basis for discussing suitable options.

Do all charters include the same extras? No universal inclusion list should be assumed; the written proposal governs what is offered. Can a headline price confirm availability? No: dates, the selected yacht and the complete arrangements need confirmation. A clear brief and an itemised proposal are the next steps towards a journey that fits.
